About Our Club.

For years, our club has been at the heart of aviation enthusiasts, providing a welcoming space for pilots to maintain their PPLs, engage in social events, and develop their flying skills.

We have proudly trained individuals from all walks of life, helping them achieve the level of Private Pilot.

Many of our former students have gone on to fly professionally with major airlines—proof that from small beginnings, great careers can take flight.

While we support aspiring professional pilots, those seeking a fast-track route to a commercial career may find dedicated Flight Training Organisations better suited to their goals, as our club operates on a voluntary and primarily social basis.

Recent History.

In 2006, we welcomed the members and aircraft of the Garda Aero Club into our ranks, strengthening our aviation community. A decade later, in late 2016, we made an exciting move to Weston Airport, just outside Dublin. This transition allows us to operate year-round and benefit from the advantages of a towered field and on-site maintenance.

We are also immensely proud to have Ireland’s first female Chief Flying Instructor, Michele Dore, as part of our club. Her expertise and dedication are invaluable, inspiring the next generation of pilots.

Beyond flying, we foster a strong sense of community, regularly hosting social events where members can connect, share experiences, and celebrate their love of aviation. Whether you’re an experienced pilot or just starting your journey, our club is a place to belong, learn, and take to the skies.

Our Aircraft.

We operate two Cessna 172 aircraft, known for their reliability and versatility. Used almost daily, they play a key role in our flight training programs, cross-country flights, and even international travel.
