If you decide to pursue a PPL, you will:

  • Begin Flight training for 45-50 hours
  • Sit ground school training and tests
  • Pass your check ride with an IAA examiner
  • Awarded with a private pilot’s license

The length of time it takes to becoming a PPL holder varies from student to student based on how often they fly and how quickly they learn.

    Following your enquiry, a standard introductory email will be issued explaining the Club Membership process and the process on how to arrange Flight Training Introduction flights.

    The Flight Training Introduction Flights are necessary so a potential member can experience the training environment in a light aircraft.

    2 Nr. Introductory flights are required to take place before a potential member can progress to the next stage of the membership process.

    Following completion of the introductory flights the Club Chairperson and another Committee Member (or their delegates) will arrange a short on-line interview with the prospective member to outline the ethos of the club and the processes involved in undergoing flight training with Trim Flying Club.
